This policy explains what information Buyly collects when you use our site, why we collect it, and how it's handled. By using Buyly, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Order details: your name, phone number, delivery address, and city, so we can deliver what you order.
- Account details: if you sign up, your email address and (for Google sign-in) your Google account's name and profile picture.
- Payment information: for bank transfers, the payment slip you upload as proof of payment. We do not collect or store card numbers — Cash on Delivery involves no online payment details at all.
- Order history: what you've ordered, order status, and any reviews or photos you choose to post.
- Contact messages: anything you send us through the Contact Us form.
2. How we use this information
- To process and deliver your orders, and to contact you about them (order confirmation, delivery updates, or issues with an order).
- To let you track your orders, manage your address book, and view your order history when logged in.
- To respond to messages you send us via the Contact Us form or WhatsApp.
- To display reviews and ratings you choose to submit on product pages.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse (for example, fraudulent orders).
3. Who we share it with
- Courier partners — your name, phone number, and delivery address are shared with the courier handling your delivery.
- Suppliers — since Buyly sources some products via dropshipping, order details necessary to fulfill your order (item, quantity, delivery address) may be shared with the relevant supplier.
- Service providers — we use Supabase for our database and authentication, and Google for optional sign-in. These providers process data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes.
- We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties.
4. Cookies & local storage
Buyly uses cookies and browser storage to keep you logged in, remember items in your cart, and remember preferences like dark mode. These are essential for the site to work and aren't used for third-party advertising.
5. Your choices
- You can shop as a guest without creating an account (an account is required to post a review or track orders from your dashboard).
- You can update or delete your saved addresses from your account at any time.
- You can edit or delete a review you've posted, as long as you're logged in as the person who posted it.
- You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us — see below.
6. Data retention
We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, delivery, and dispute-resolution purposes. If you delete your account, we may still retain past order records where required for these purposes.
We may update this policy from time to time as Buyly grows. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
